Future <br />cracking of the concrete slab will probably occur whether or not blasting takes place <br />nearby. Cracks were also found in the foundation walls. Concrete <br />floor is cracked in several places, which is common in shop floors. Footings may be set <br />at surface. Therefore they are subject to frost upheaval and soil settlement caused by <br />surface water. The metal building should not be seriously affected by blasting. Future <br />cracking of the concrete slab will probably happen whether or not blasting takes place <br />nearby. <br />
