Section 779.12 (b) Continued. <br />• <br />but not limited to, data of State and local archaeological, historical, <br />and cultural preservation agencies. <br />The Kerr Mine and Tipple Areas together with appropriate adjacent <br />areas have been extensively surveyed in order to identify all <br />cultural, historic and archaeological resources. In addition to <br />the field work performed in connection with these surveys, avail- <br />able data from the Colorado State Archaeologist, the Colorado State <br />Hlstorical Society and the Bureau of Land Management also was used <br />in identifying archaeological resources. <br />Four separate archaeological surveys have been conducted on the <br />Kerr Mine and Tipple Areas. Each of these surveys focuses on a <br />different portion of the permit area; however, when combined, the <br />surveys cover the entire permit area together with appropriate <br />• adjacent areas. The relevant surveys are as follows: <br />1) 1977-79 BLM North Park Potential Coal Production <br /> Area Cultural Resources Inventory conducted by <br /> University of Colorado Archaeologist Joseph J. <br /> Lischka; <br />2) 1978 Survey commissioned by Kerr Coal and <br /> conducted by Joseph Lischka; <br />3) 1979 Survey commissioned by Kerr Coal and con- <br /> ducted by Powers Elevation Co.; and <br />4) 1980 Survey commissioned by Kerr Coal Co. and <br /> conducted by Metcalf-Zier Archaeologists, Znc. <br /> (MZAI). <br />Copies of the reports prepared in connection with the three surveys <br />conducted for Kerr Coal are attached hereto as Exhibit 45.
