Marion St.
• Denver, Co. 80210
Dear Mark;
Attached are copies of a soil survey map and map unit descriptions for each
of the units found in the north half of Sec. 29, R. 63 W., T. 33 S.. A to-
tal of four map units were found of which Louviere-Sarcillo-Trag (PjE) and
Ayon-Capulin (AC) unite comprise moat of the area. The PjE unit 1s a Pin-
yon-Juniper woodland site and the AC unit is 50% Basalt Breaks and 50% Loamy
Plains range site. The s>.all areas of CpC and M11D (LfD) have a Loamy Plains
end Loamy Foothills range sites, respectively.
The dominant soil 1n this area would probably be Louviere which has very
little topsoil. The Capulin and Trag Boils have thicker solums and are u-
sually a good source of topsoil and have good organic matter content. The
Ayon soil has good organic matter content and topsoil, but has a lot of
gravel and cobbles in the profile.
If you have any questions or need any further information, please let me
know.
Randall V.
