<br /> <br />13. Berms around the site and pit excavation will prevent any water from leaving <br />the site for the 100 year storm event. The ability to accomplish this avoids <br />the need to have a stormwater permit. <br />14. If any groundwater is encountered in mining the southern portion of the <br />permit area, B&B commits to ensuring that this water is delivered to the <br />unnamed drainage to preserve the springs and flows which occur during the <br />irrigation season. Eliminating Spring Creek and the unnamed drainage from the permit area avoids <br />impacting areas that have wetter vegetation, including cottonwood trees and <br />avoids special water handling problems associated with the creeks. <br />15.
