NI
f~ 7
ribbons request for a Mining and Reclamation
xon Site
The Electric Production Di ision is concerned about the additional water
run off that will be genet ted if Broderick and Gibbons is permitted to
mine the area north of the R,D. Nixon site. Their exhibit "F" indicates
that the four arroyos that exit the mining area and cross our north
property line will carry a ditional water and at a faster rate than
exists today.
Starting at the southwest orner of the Broderick and Gibbons site, the
first two arroyos from the north that cross our north property line
east of that corner, wil} ontinue to drain water from the north. The
mining proposed in these t o water sheds will eliminate to two existing
reservoirs and will combin the two water sheds into one. This change
wilt increase the amount a d rate of run off because there will be a
constant slope from north o south with no indicated retention structures.
The next arroyo to the eas (third from the corner) will drain the area
between the 115 KVA-FVA ea ement and the water line easement to the City
of Fountain storage tank. This water shed will have a constant slope
with no retention structur s indicated.
The next arroyo to the eas
of their southeast propert
115 KVA-FVA easement and t
storage tank.
