(Colors are for dry soils <br />unless otherwise noted.) <br />Al 0 to 4 inches; dazk brownish gray (lOYR 4/2), silt loam, very <br />dazk brown (lOYR 2/2) moist; moderate fine granular; soft, <br />very friable, slightly sticky and slightly plastic; cleaz smooth <br />boundary. <br />B1 4 to 9 inches; brown -dazk brown (lOYR 4/3), silty clay loam, <br />very dazk gray brown (lOYR 3/2) moist; moderate fine sub- <br />angulaz blocky pazting to moderate coarse blocky, few thin <br />• patchy clay films; slightly hazd, pliable, slightly sticky and <br />slightly plastic; cleaz wavy boundazy. <br />B2t 9 to 32 inches; brown -dark brown (lOYR 4/3) silty clay <br />loam, dazk brown (lOYR 3/3) moist; medium subangulaz <br />blocky structure, patchy clay films. <br />Baca 32 to 43 inches; brown (lOYR 5/3) silty clay loam, brown - <br />dazk brown (lOYR 4/3) moist; soft, very friable, calcareous, <br />some small spots of lime; 2 percent gravels. <br />Cca 43 to 60 inches; yellow brown (lOYR 5/4) silty clay loam, <br />dark yellow brown (lOYR 3/4) moist; soft, very friable, sticky <br />and plastic; strongly calcazeous; 10 percent gravels. <br />Pedon Location: Rio Blanco County, Colorado; Center of the NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 <br />of Section 21, T2N, R93/W.
