Calcazeous shale and thin lenses of interbedded <br />sandstone. <br />Type Location: These soils aze located approximately 1,280 feet east <br />and 1,248 feet south of N corner of sec. 3, T.55N., R.89W, in Sheridan <br />County, Wyoming. <br />Range in Chazacteristics: The mollic epipedon ranges from 7 to 15 <br />inches thick; depth to calcazeous material ranges from 15 to 36 inches; <br />the solum ranges from 20 to 40 inches. Organic carbon ranges from <br />about 1 to 6 percent in the mollic epipedon and decreases uniformly with <br />increasing depth. Cation exchange capacity ranges from 70 to 100 <br />millequivalents/100 grams of clay. Rock fragments range from 0 to 15 <br />percent but aze usually less than 5 percent except in the horizon <br />• <br />I-25 <br />
