The native vegetation is <br />rabbitbrush, sagebrush, grasses, and forbes. <br />• STRAW SERIES <br />The Straw series aze deep, somewhat poorly drained soils formed on <br />flood plains and terraces on alluvium derived from sandstones and shales. Slopes aze <br />3 to 8 percent. A pedon was described on the flood palin of Curtis Creek, 100 feet <br />west and 1400 feet south of the northeast corner of section 20, T2N, R93W, at <br />location 4. <br />Described Pedon <br />Al 0 to 8 inches; gray (lOYR 5/1) silty clay loam, very dazk gray <br />(lOYR 3/1) moist; strong medium granulaz structure; slightly <br />hazd, friable, sticky and plastic; calcazeous; many fine roots; <br />cleaz smooth boundaries. <br />C1 8 to Z2 inches; dazk gray (lOYR 4/1) silty clay loam, very <br />• dark gray (lOYR 3/1) moist; moderate medum subangulaz <br />
