Applica t.i on
for a pit permit from the Mined Land Reclamation Division is also
being made at this tT me.
This permit application is for a dewatering well that ~~~L11
allow sand and gravel to be extracted below the normal ground
water line. The water will be pumped into any necessary settling
ponds and then into a natural drainage channel that empties dir-
ectly into the Arkansas River. There will be no consumptive use
of Che water on site. The purpose of this application and subse-
quent well is for dewatering purposes only.
The only owner of adjacent property Ts Rich & Company from
whom this tract is being purchased. To the best of our knowledge
the dewatering well will only affect a small area adjacent to the
well and should not interfere with any existing groundwaCer users
in the area. It is understood that all waters removed will be
Tminediately placed into the Arkansas River.
