<br />Reclamation Plan <br />The pit area will be reclaimed as wildlife habitat. The <br />eree will ultimitly be left Sn a aeries of ponds with <br />irregular shape. The shoreline of the ponds will be <br />irregular to increase the cover for wildlife. The banks ~ }d~ <br />of the ponds shell be seeded w t suitable end ~ <br />C recommended verities of vegetet ~ . ertilizer will <br />\p~b of be placed on elopes or areea that will drain <br />to the ponds. Suitable topsoil will be placed on the <br />exposed elopes of the ponds end any other exposed ground <br />disturbed by the pit operetlona. <br />Willows will be transplanted as mining progresses and the <br />operetlona allow. ey w be placed around ponds <br />created by mining operetlona. These areea will be seeded <br />es soon es mining operations In their general area will <br />allow. <br />The roadway created ea eccesa to the pit will be left ea <br />e permanent eccesa to the property. Immmedletely after <br />the rood is constructed, topsoil will be placed on <br />shoulder elopes end will be seeded ea requested by the <br />property owner. Since the melority of the haul road is <br />ed~ncent to turf fnrm crops, cars will be token not to <br />introduce any plenty that might damage the ed~ecent <br />crops. <br />Requests for seeding recommendations hove been made-to <br />the Soil Conservation Service end will be folio ed when <br />recieved. ~ <br />Topsoil available within the pit area will be removed and <br />stockpiled within the pit boundaries et the perimeter of <br />the permitted eree for later use on those areea not <br />covered with water. Topsoil will not be removed until an <br />eree to be mined must be disturbed. It is estimated thnt <br />2"-4" of topsoil will be pieced on disturbed areea within <br />the pit. <br />Since this operation is expected to last at least 30 <br />years reclnmation will be en ongoing operation during <br />operation of the pit.
