'~ Water Reources~lnimas Aggregates, Inc. - Thomas~t <br />Page 2 <br />As Animas Aggregates has not increased exposed water surface and <br />does not plan to do so, it can be said that the mining of this si~;e will <br />not add evaporative water losses to the Animas River system. <br />Part of the reclamation plan is to remove the stockpiles over <br />existing topsoil and revegetate this area as irrigated pasture. lJater <br />for irrigation will be supplied and controlled by the land's present <br />owner who now irrigates that land adjacent to the ready mix concrete <br />plant. His water rights are proven and established for this use. <br />Animas Aggregates operation at this site will continue to be per- <br />formed in a manner that minimizes disturbance to the hydrologic balance <br />of the' area. <br />
