COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, Water duality Control Division
Rationale - Page 2. Petmit No. COC-850013 •
II. FACILITY INFORMATION: (Continued)
G. Facility Flow: 001: Most often, no discharge occurs.
[Then discharges occurred:
2.88 MGD (or 2000 gpm) - average flow
2.88 MCD (or 2000 gpm) - maximum flow
The above flows have been reported on
discharge monitoring forms for three
quarters of discharge during the period
from 1987 through 1989. During two other
quarters, "trickle" flows Cfrom 0.006 to
0.08 MGD) occurred. For the remaining
quarters during this three year period, "No
Discharge" was reported.
Flow for 001 is measured by a Pygmy meter
in the decant culvert from the
sedimentation pond.
III. RECEIVING STREAM:
A. Identification, Classification and Standards
1. Identification: The discharge goes to Middle Creek (Segment •
13b), which is tributary to Trout Creek. Trout Creek is
tributary to the Yampa River. Segment 13b includes Middle Creek
and Trout Creek from its confluence with Middle Creek to its
confluence with Fish Creek.
2. Classification: Segment 13b is classified for the following
uses: Recreation, Class 1; Aquatic Life, Class 1 CCold);
Agriculture.
3. ?lumeric Standards: The standards which have been assigned in
accordance with the above classifications can be found in 3.3.0
Classifications and Numeric Standards for the Upper Colorado
River Basin and North Platte River (Planning Region 12) (5 CCR
1002-8), as amended July 6, 1988. It should be noted that this
facility does not discharge pollutants which are limited by
water quality standards with the exception of pH.
B. Receiving Water Data
1. Stream Low Flow: Not Applicable; effluent limitations are not
flow based.
•
