The <br />site is in poor condition because the roof has been removed. <br />It lacks integrity of location and association, and thus, is <br />field evaluated as not eligible to the NRHP. <br />Site 5MN3766 is an historic site with a roofless, <br />dugout/root cellar. The site is located on a west-facing edge <br />of a mesa top within an area measuring 60 meters by 30 meters. <br />The exterior dimensions of the dugout aze 18 feet by 13 feet. <br />It is the only discernable feature of an apparent homestead <br />that dates to the early 1900's. The site has been used as a <br />cowboy camp, and has an associated trash pile consisting of <br />about 50 tin cans, fragments of china and some purple glass <br />shards. The site is in poor condition. It lacks integrity of <br />location and association, and thus, is field evaluated as not <br />eligible to the NRHP. <br />Isolated Finds <br />Four isolated finds were recorded (SMN3767-SMN3770). <br />Table 1, on the following page, lists these finds and Figure 1 <br />shows their locations within the project area. (See Appendix <br />8 for forms.) <br />Table 1. They represent a temporal interval which <br />encompasses about 4 millennia--from the Archaic to the <br />Formative periods.
