Sediment Pond 2 (SP-2) has not been constructed. Construction of SP-2 will occur during construction of the waste disposal area. Once SP-2 is constructed, erosion from the outslopes of the pond will be controlled by seeding with the approved seed mix. Drainage from the waste disposal area will drain into SP-2. Diversion ditches (DD-5 and DD-6) are planned to divert stormwater from the surrounding hillsides to the Harvey Gap Drainage. Drainage from the outslopes of the diversion ditches will be diverted into SP-2. These outslopes will be seeded with the approved seed mix. At the base of the waste disposal area, collection ditches will be constructed around the area to direct drainage from the disposal area to SP-2. Erasion control of the outslopes of the collection ditches will be provided by seeding the areas with the approved seed mix. The principle spillway from SP-2 will be a 2" non-clogging device to carry flow out of the pond. The SP-2 principle spillway will join the SP-2 emergency spillway. Once SP-2 is constructed, the emergency spillway will be lined with rip-rap 3" to 6" in diameter and seeded with the approved seed mix. Plans for SP-2 spillway show a width of about 12.5 feet in width and about 300 feet in length. The SP-2 emergency spillway will flow into the Harvey Gap Drainage. The discharge and spillway structures will be seeded with the approved seed mix to control erosion. G. Outslope from Soil Storage: Outfall 009. Once construction begins on the waste disposal site and SP-2, all soils materials will be stored northeast of SP-2. The soil materials storage will slope so that drainage will be directed into SP-2. Drainage from the outslope of the soils material storage will flow into Harvey Gap Drainage. The soils material storage will be seeded to control sediment erosion.. 7
