Stormwater Management Plan
I. Introduction
As part of the General Colorado Discharge Permit (Number COG-
850000) requirements, Eastside Coal Company has developed the
Eastside Mine Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP). The SWMP exhibits
best management practices to prevent and/or reduce the pollution of
the waters of the State of Colorado. Best management practices of
stormwater runoff control measures include: seeding, mulching, rip-
rapping, constructing sediment ponds, gravel or rock surfacing, and
other methods no less effective than these listed.
