unit is found in Sections 30 and 31, T.SN R.85 W at 6,600 to 8,100 feet elevation. <br />• Typically, the surface horizon is a very dark grayish brown, heavy friable loam <br />about 5 inches thick. It has weak fine subangular blocky structure parting to very fine <br />single grain. The upper portion of the subsoil is a very dark grayish brown clay loam. <br />It is very friable and extends to about 24 inches. The lower portion of the subsoil <br />is about 22 inches thick. It is a very dark gray, heavy clay loam. This horizon <br />overlies interbeds of sandstone and shale with seams of coal at 46 inches.
