a coarse-loamy Cumulic Cryaquoll, 985 feet west, 1,120 feet north, southeast corner <br />• Section 36, T.SN R.85W at 7,003 feet elevation is: <br />AI 0-10 inches brown (10 YR 4/3) fine sandy loam, dark brown (10 Yr <br />3/3) moist; moderate medium granular structure; soft, very friable; <br />common very fine and fine roots, few medium roots; non- <br />calcareous; pH 6.6; clear irregular boundary. <br />AC 10-15 inches brown (10 YR 5/3) fine sandy loam, dark brown (10 <br />YR 3/3) moist; moderate tine subangular blocky structure; soft, <br />very friable; few very fine roots; few fine distinct mottles (7.5 YR <br />5/8); thin pockets of very dark gray (10 YR 3/I) sandy loam near <br />lower portion of horizon; non-calcareous; pH 6.9; clear smooth <br />boundary. <br />Clg IS-26 inches light yellowish brown (10 YR 6/4) loamy sand dark <br />brown (10 YR 3/3) moist; weak medium subangular blocky breaking <br />• to single grain; loose; non-sticky and non-plastic; few to none very <br />fine roots; common fine distinct mottles (7.5 YR 5/6); gley pockets <br />approximately I inch in diameter; non-calcareous; pH 7.3; abrupt <br />smooth boundary. <br />C2 26-46 inches mixed colors of stratified dark brown coarse sands and <br />gravels (7.5 YR 4/4) moist; single grain, loose, non-sticky and non- <br />elastic; non-calcareous; pH 7.3; 40 percent gravels; standing water <br />at 46 inches. <br />The depth to water table was at 30 inches in the typic pedon. The mollic <br />epipedon in this profile is not quite thick enough to be cumulic. This soil has a gleyed <br />layer at 15 to 26 inches indicating fluctuation in the current ground water depth. <br />Mottles were visible below 10 inches in both pedons. <br />Unnamed Series 51 -Deep Phase <br />The Unnamed series SI -deep phase consists of deep, moderately well-drained, <br />• loamy soils.
