• A sedimentation pond will be constructed at the northern portion of the <br />permit area which will be designed to contain the 10-year, 24-hour <br />precipitation event. <br />The sedimentation pond, as shown on the Drainage and Sediment Control <br />Plan (Map 7) will be approximately 74 feet long, 36 feet wide, and 6 <br />feet deep. The pond, as designed, will be a depression in the existing <br />topography (refer to the Drainage and Sediment Control Plan (Map 7) for <br />design details). At reclamation the pond will be left intact to provide <br />protection of the hydrologic balance if the area is continually used as <br />an industrial site in the future. <br />4.05.10 Underground Mine Entry and Access Discharges <br />No underground operation operations will take place at the Mt. Harris <br />Coal Company. Therefore, the requirements under this section are not <br />applicable. <br />• 4.05.11 Ground Water Protection <br />As noted earlier in Section 2.04.7, there will be no subsurface <br />disturbance, other than the construction of the sedimentation pond <br />within the Mt. Harris permit area. <br />4.05.12 Protection of Ground Water Recharge Capacity <br />As stated in the reclamation plan as described in Section 2.05.4, the <br />area will be returned to approximately the pre-operation condition. <br />Therefore, ground water recharge capability is expected to remain <br />essentially the same as the pre-operation condition. <br />4.05.13 Surface and Ground Water Monitorin <br />As described in Section 2.05.6, Mt. Harris Coal Company will install two <br />• ground water monitoring wells to be monitored on a bi-annual basis.
