A
:,,~ ~' long stemmed, weed free, native grass hay should be used to
j,t''' ~ ~ mulch the area and to protect the flatter seeded areas from
~~'~ erosion. Use about 3,000 to 4,000 pounds per acre of mulch.
1i~ t~ Crin,n the mulch to a depth of 3 to 4 inches. More steeply
sloping areas should be covered with fiber matting to protect
from erasion until the seeding is established. Phosphorous
fertilizer should be applied at a rate of 40 ibs, per atre
active ingredient.
Qn very steep slopes, the soil surface should be left rough to
slow the runoff and trap moisture.
