Series Name and Description <br />' <br /> 24 VIe --- Dix-Altvan Complex, 9 to 25 percent slopes. <br /> The Dix soil is a deep, saoewhat excessively drained <br /> soil. Typically, the surface layer is a dark g_ayic:i <br />' Range Sites: brown gravelly sandy loam. The subsoil is a dark grayish <br /> Dix - Gravel Breaks brawn gravelly coarse sandy loam. The permezhility of <br />' Altvan - Loamy Plains the Dix soil is rapid, the available wzter capsc;.ty is <br />irnv, surface runoff is rapid and the erosion hazard is <br /> high. The Altvan series in this complex is a decd, well <br /> drained soil. with a dark grayish brown sandy roam surface <br />' texture and a dark grayish brown heavy sandy loar and <br /> sandy clay loam subsoil texture. The permeability is <br /> moderate, available water capacity is moderate, surface <br /> runoff is medium and the erosion hazard is moderate. <br />' The soils of this complex are used almost entirely for <br /> grazing. <br />' Map Soil Capability <br /> Symbol Non-brig. brig.
