Any drainage
from this area is diverted to report to SP-C. The remainder of the
ore storage area to the North and West is bordered by a raised road
leading to the portal and drainage is also reported to SP-C.
6. The weekly water sample at station 5 is to detect early any
contamination if any. The sample will be analyzed to the same
parameters presented in Oct. 10, 2001, sample.
7. The ore will not require drying before shipment. Whether the
ore will be bagged or shipped in bulk will depend on the ore sample
assays. MMC has always planned to cover the ore stored by tarp.
8. MMC has again reviewed Rules 1.1(1) and 1.1(2). It certainly is
an advantage to MMC to follow the rules and to prevent any contamin-
ation. MMC plans to ship all ore annually prior to winter closing
the roads.
9. As per Reid Giesy's understanding at the October 2, 2001 field
inspection, MMC will rip rap the steep gradient from SP-D to SP-C
and will hand place stone and wood sediment traps in the ditch at
10 foot spacing between SP-D and SP-C. The logs to be placed in
the floor of the settling ponds will act as a riffle to trap any
sediment carried in the water,
10. MMC has adjusted their
side of the settling ponds
have a discharge from SP-A
of the settling ponds will
construction will be comply
starting mining.
plans to deepen and bank up the downhill
to gain more capacity. MMC will replace topsail where removed and re-seed all the
areas; Equipment storage, Reclamation storage site and the ore
storage area. No new roads will be constructed. The road across
Ophir Mill Site and BLM property to the west is the original
County road leading from Lake City to Silverton. This road has
historical significance and MMC will leave this road as near as
possible to its present condition and appearance. MMC plans to
leave all culverts in place and in good condition at any time the
Reclamation Plan is executed. Since no new roads will be con-
structed the roads on the Permitted Site will remain as nearly as
possible to their present status both on BLM and Ophir land.
WayueRGiesy,Pt+esideat continued on Page 3
Les Charles, Mme Shat
