Technical Revision No. 4 - Haul Road BZ <br />The BZ road was originally permitted as a scraper route in Minor <br />Revisions #4, Wolf Creek area. This revision requested that this road be <br />upgraded to a coal haulage road to facilitate coal haulage from the Wolf <br />Creek area. <br />Technical Revision No. 5 - Wadge Area Mining Change <br />As mining progressed to the west in the Wadge area, the pits became <br />increasingly shorter which prompted this revision. Coal removal <br />operations, which include drilling, blasting, overburden removal, coal <br />drilling and blasting, and coal loading cannot be performed efficiently <br />in a short pit. Generally, in this type of situation, the dragline <br />overtakes the other operations and has to shut down for a period of <br />time. To prevent this, PCC requested permission to move the dragline <br />back to the box cut location and strip to the east simultaneously as the <br />current pits were advanced to the west. With the dragline alternating <br />between two Wadge stripping areas, sufficient pit length and stripping <br />area was gained to increase the operating area and maintain production, <br />thus eliminating the need to shut the dragline down. <br />Technical Revision No. 6 - Topsoil Salvage Adjustment <br />A small drainage at the lower end of the Wadge area contained several <br />areas that were excessively steep in terms of operational efficiency and <br />safety. PCC requested that, due to the equipment limitations and safety <br />issues, topsoil not be salvaged in this area. A topsoil balance <br />indicated that enough additional topsoil was available within the permit <br />area (topsoil stockpiles and areas to be disturbed) that reclamation of <br />this area could be accomplished. <br />Technical Revision No. 7 <br />It was later changed to Minor Revision No. 15; therefore No. 7 is <br />deleted. <br />Technical Revision No. S - Wolf Creek Revision (2nd <br />This Technical Revision was submitted as a follow-up to the Wolf Creek <br />Permit Revision, which will be discussed later.
