Additional drilling in the area after the application was submitted showed that the Wolf Creek coal seam was actually deeper than originally anticipated. Assessing the situation, PCC decided that due to dragline limitations, the operations plan would have to be revised again. This included not moving the dragline as far down the hill in order for the dragline to operate closer to its capacity in the somewhat shallower overburden. This plan was addressed in Technical Revision No. 8. Additional items in Revision No. 8 included recalculated slope stability analysis, stream channel erosional stability plans, new postmine contours for the Wolf Creek revision area, revised Operations and Surface Water Control Plans, and a development drilling program for the Seneca Mine. Minor Revisions Numerous minor changes or revisions have been made to the operations and reclamation plans or facilities within the permit boundary. These are listed below with a short explanation of each revision. Minor Revision No. 1 - Fencing Permit Area This involved the construction of a permit or reclamation fence on or close to the new permit boundary. Minor Revision No. 2 - Diversion Ditch/Redesign #004 Pond During construction of Pond #004, it was determined that excavation of the pond to design depth was impossible. The pond was redesigned with a portion of the undisturbed upstream drainage diverted around the pond. Minor Revision No. 3 - Change in Facilities This involved the construction of a new office and modification of the existing shop buildings. Minor Revision No . 4 - Scraper Road In order to remove part of the topsoil in the Wolf Creek area, scrapers were required to traverse down a drainage.
