EXHIBIT "C"
4) EXHIBIT "C" -Rule 6.3.3(a)
Mining is proposed to commence shortly after permit issuance and the pit is project to have a life
of 10 to 15 years.
5) EXHIBIT "C" Rule 6.3.3 (b)
Topsoil is ample and is expected to be replaced at a depth of 6" to 10", with an average of 8"
proposed. The topsoil will be stored in a low berm. [fit is to remain in place for more than one
growing season, it will be seeded with an SCS recommended seed mix to preserve the integrity of
the material. There will be sufficient topsoil available to treat the entire disturbed area. Topsoil
stockpiles are shown on the maps.
6) EXHIBIT "C" -Rule 6.3.3(cl
The overburden varies from 4 feet to 14 feet in depth. This is substantially more than would
normally be considered for economic mining. In this instance, the distance of 40 to 80 miles to the
nearest alternate sources, and associated trucking costs, make this a viable project. Material shortage
in the area makes this overburden a very salable product as engineered fill material.
7) EXHIBIT "C" -Rule 6.3.3(e)
The major components of this operation will be the access roads denoted. In the beginning there
will be a a pit area of 3 to ~ acres, which will expand to a total of 8.9 acres, and will possibly include
a portable crushing spread, as well as product and topsoil stockpiles. There will be no office or other
structures required.. The new maps more adequately describe the operation. This will be strictly a
dry pit operation located on the bench at least 30 feet above the irrigated pasture, wetlands, and
Grape Creek. There will definitely not be any ponds or affects on water rights of the area.
8) EXHIBIT "C" -Rule 6.3.3(11
[n paragraph 7 above, the pit excavation area is expected to be 8.9 acres.
9) EXHIBIT "C" -Rule 6.3.3(Q)
Exhibit "A" -Rule 6.3.1(2) details the new haul roads to be constructed south from Hermit Road,.
constituting 1.00 acre, which is included in the permit area. No improvements will be necessary on
other existing roads. Since this will be a dry pit, as explained, there will be no associated drainage
or runoff conveyance structures to be built or designed.
10) EXHIBIT "C" -Rule 6.3.3(hl
