2-15A
•
Sedimentation Reservoir
A single sedimentation reservoir shall be constructed to handle
all affected surface runoff from the disturbed area (approximately
35.6 acres). Figures 2.3-3.15 and 2.2-3.25 show the location and
details of the sedimentation reservoir. Surface runoff shall be
collected from the coal stockpile area, parking lot office and
shop working area, wash plant and a minimum of the undisturbed
areas within the central facilities. The sedimentation reservoir
shall contain the volume of runoff from two 10-year, 24-hour
precipitation events and a total of five years of sediment. A
cleanout marker will be installed at the level at which sufficient
. storage capacity remains for both the runoff and the sediment
generated by the 10-year, 24-hour storm event. The level will be
calculated after the pond has been constructed and included in the
sediment pond certification document.
•
01/16/86
