Mr. Steve Shuey
Division of Minerals & Geology
Durango Field Office
May 18, 1995
Page 4
The applicant will agree to using the seed mix suggested by the local SCS office. This mix was
included in the attachments to the first adequacy response letter and is included again. The SCS
suggested four grass species and two forb species. The trees and shrubs suggested by the SCS
will also be included. The seed rate per acre suggested by the SCS will be the rate used. If the
seed is broadcast, the seed rate will be doubled. The SCS did not give a recommendation for
fertilizer rates. The space on the standazd form only indicated that the nutrients would be
recommended per the soil analysis. The applicant should not be required to commit to applying
fertilizer if the soil analysis does not show the need. Again, the applicant is awaze that the
Division must be satisfied with the results of the reclamation efforts before the applicant is
released from his reclamation obligations.
We hope this information adequately addresses all the concems and comments you presented in
your second adequacy review. If you have any further questions, concems or comments please
call.
Sincerely,
TUTTLE APPLEGATE, INC.
Pamela E.
