Enclosed please find additional comments concerning
the original application and the responses received in the March 24
letter. Please provide responses to these comments as soon as
possible so that we can meet the decision deadline for this
application.
Pursuant to Rule 1.4.1(7) the decision date for the application is
hereby extended to May 26, 1995 to allow time for the snow to melt
so that an adequate pre-operational inspection can be conducted.
PERMIT APPLICATION
Your adequacy response mentions certain areas of the site have
conditions that may preclude mining. Please identify as many of
these areas as possible and give specific details of how, when left
as natural areas, they will be blended in to the post-mine
topography. Please provide topographic mapping of the details, if
appropriate.
The application maps indicate, at this time, that life of mine
disturbance is limited to 8.3 acres. If mining plan details and
reclamation plan details for the areas within the proposed permit
boundary, but outside the area of mining boundary (as indicated on
exhibit maps C1, C2 and F), are not included in this application
before the decision date, it will require a permit modification
(assuming the permit is issued) to obtain Division approval to mine
these areas.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION
Though no longer required by the Division for permit approval, the
"no effect" determination by the State Historical Preservation
Office, has been received.
