Your concerns and comments will be addressed in the same order as they were
presented.
PERMIT APPLICATION
Exhibits C and F have been signed by the chief engineer of our office. Additional copies are included
with this information.
The correct acreage of the permit area is 12.95 acres. Page One of the application form and Exhibit
A have been revised to reflect this. The Mining Plan calls for a maximum disturbance area of 8.3
acres at any one given time during the life of the mining operation, as defined by the Table of
Disturbance. This does not limit the mining operation to 8.3 acres of disturbance total, but rather
indicates that no more than 8.3 acres can be disturbed before any reclamation activities are
completed. Additional area can be disturbed, up to the amount of the permitted acreage, as long as
concurrent reclamation activities limit the active land disturbance to 8.3 acres. Some areas of the
permit may not be disturbed due to the existing topography or other site constraints, and will be (eft
as natural areas to help buffer the operation from adjacent properties.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION
Enclosed is a copy of the certified mailing receipt to the Colorado Department of Transportation for
notification purposes. Also enclosed is a copy of a new Highway Access permit by the local unit of
CDOT which indicates they are fully aware of the proposed activities at this site.
11990 Grant Street, Suite 410 • Denver, Colorado 80233 • (303) 452-6611 • Fax (303) 452-2759
