• parking area will be graveled and will be subject to periodic watering to
control emissions. Vehicular traffic to and from the plant site is
estimated as follows: '
e
26-ton capacity haul truck 3 round trips per day
Light duty truck and autos 12 round trips per day
Supply trucF:s 1 round trip per day
Given the limited quantity of traffic and the gravel road base, periodic
watering of the access; road is adequate to control fugitive dust emissions.
Product nahcolite wi'Il be stored on-site in an enclosed bin. Fugitive
emissions during bin load-out will be negligible because a telescoping
load-out chute will be utilized when the trucks are loaded. Dust generated
during bin load-in will be controlled with a baghouse dust collector.
Collected dust will be~ returned to product bin.
• Disturbed areas resulting from construction activities and associated with
road and pipeline construction will be seeded during the first fall
following construction. These measures will control fugitive dust
originating from wind erosion.
D.5.6 Air Pollution Control
Air pollutant emission sources include an 800-horsepower natural gas fired
boiler and a pair of 400-kw natural gas fueled generators (normally 1 in
operation and 1 on stand-by). Since natural gas will be the fuel source,
emissions will be minimal. Permits will be filed (October 1983) with the
Colorado Department of Health, Air Quality Control Division. Fugitive
emissions generated b,y vehicle traffic on the access road and around the
plant site will be controlled by periodic watering. Emissions generated
during product load-in into the storage bin will be controlled with a
baghouse collector.

D-15
