As Chapter IZI indicated, Delta County is becoming more <br />dependent on the mining sector, just as the coal sector is dependent on the <br />counties. <br />While Delta County can expect greater population growth in the next ten years, <br />Western Slope's expansion will have a rather minimal population impact. To <br />illustrate, by 1985 WSCC's direct and indirect population should be in place; <br />or, of the 4,520 populntion growth expected in Delta County (Table IV-3), WSCC <br />will account for 250 or 5.58.
