1

t
1

EXHIBIT "D"
i~1INING PLAN
BLM PIT - WEST OF MAYBELL
(A) Soil overburden will be removed from the part of the pit to
be excavated and stockpiled for use in reclaiming the pit.
(B) The area will be mined from the south to the north taking the
full depth of viable material.
(C) Material too large to use will be buried in the pit slopes as
directed by the Engineer.
(D) Excavated material will either be hauled directly to a project
or to the plant and stockpile site for crushing. The plant
and stockpile site will either be in the existing pit area or
in the proposed addition to the pit. The location of stockpiles
will vary as the mining operation progresses over the years.
' (E) The Highway Department or their contractor may use the
equipment that they think best suited to work the pit.
' (F) The backslopes of the pit will be left no steeper than 3:1.
The pit floor will be left in a smooth condition and graded to
drain into the natural drainage areas.
' (G) The haul road to the pit is to remain in place when work in the
pit is completed.

1

1
(H) The approximate depth of the pit will be 15 feet.
(I) The seed and seeding rate as shown in the reclamation plan will
be used on stockpiled soil overburden.
1
