1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />t <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />EXHIBIT "D" <br />i~1INING PLAN <br />BLM PIT - WEST OF MAYBELL <br />(A) Soil overburden will be removed from the part of the pit to <br />be excavated and stockpiled for use in reclaiming the pit. <br />(B) The area will be mined from the south to the north taking the <br />full depth of viable material. <br />(C) Material too large to use will be buried in the pit slopes as <br />directed by the Engineer. <br />(D) Excavated material will either be hauled directly to a project <br />or to the plant and stockpile site for crushing. The plant <br />and stockpile site will either be in the existing pit area or <br />in the proposed addition to the pit. The location of stockpiles <br />will vary as the mining operation progresses over the years. <br />' (E) The Highway Department or their contractor may use the <br />equipment that they think best suited to work the pit. <br />' (F) The backslopes of the pit will be left no steeper than 3:1. <br />The pit floor will be left in a smooth condition and graded to <br />drain into the natural drainage areas. <br />' (G) The haul road to the pit is to remain in place when work in the <br />pit is completed. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />1 <br />(H) The approximate depth of the pit will be 15 feet. <br />(I) The seed and seeding rate as shown in the reclamation plan will <br />be used on stockpiled soil overburden. <br />1 <br />
