i
Mr. Roy L.. Wright -2- June 22,.1984
4. What is the planned depth of topsoil replacement for areas to be
revegetated~ Given the depth of topsoil available, I presume a minimum
replacement depth of 12" would not be difficult to achieve. To date, no
topsoil replacement depth has been justified and committed to by the operator.
5. Please refresh my memory concerning why willows and cottowoods are not to
be planted around the pit margins (at least in some places). Such plantings
provide shade which typically improves a pond as fish habitat.
6. Please either show the probable or typical location of the fish ponds as
' ~yr~ an overlay to the map exhibit already submitted; or describe the probable
Id 55, placement and extent (acreage) of these ponds in final reclamation.
6f
Exhibit F
J Given your letter to Chaffee County, I will expect to receive written
confirmation of local zoning approval before next Wednesday's Board meeting.
Please feel free to call me to provide preliminary answers to my questions (to
be followed by a letter) such that this application will be ready for Board
approval during next weeks's meeting.
Sincerely,
~'/ /ue"~' ~' _ 0
Mark S.
