As rail cars pass beneath, the coal <br />can be loaded at a rate of approximately 2,000 tons per hour. <br />SOCIOECONOMIC IMPACTS <br />Coal mining has been conducted in Routt County since hefore the turn of the <br />century. The mining industry has historically provided a reliable source of <br />revenue for the County government and mining companies have created numerous <br />employment opportunities for Routt County residents. The Fish Creek <br />Tipple/Loadout will indirectly benefit the economy of nearby communities and <br />generate additional revenue for the County and State coffers. <br />Since the Fish Creek Tipple/Loadout is located in a remote rural setting that <br />was previously disturbed by mining, the impacts on adjacent property owners and <br />the public will be minimal. The project will have little or no adverse effects <br />upon Routt County social and technical services, because the work farce may be <br />recruited from residents in neighboring communities. Twentymile Coal Company <br />has utilized state-of-the-art technology to prevent or mitigate the adverse <br />• impacts generally associated with mining. <br />The narrative presented in this permit application demonstrates the legal and <br />moral commitments that Twentymile Coal Company has made to the citizens of Routt <br />County and the State of Colorado. TCC will minimize environmental damage by <br />adhering to the mining and reclamation plan approved by the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division. <br />DESCRIPTION OF ORGANIZATION OF PERMIT APPLICATION <br />TCC has carefully chosen the format for this application after consultation with <br />representatives of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division. The <br />application is arranged to provide for easy reference to specific sections of <br />the regulations. Where applicable, cross references have been furnished to <br />avoid redundancy and facilitate review. Supplemental information not included <br />in the narrative of the application is set forth as Maps, Exhibits, Figures or <br />Tables.
