All mining equipment or operational areas which are subject to large <br />concentrations of dust will be equipped with water sprayers at the <br />source to keep airborne dust to a minimum. Adequate ventilation will be <br />provided to each working face to quickly move dust particles during the <br />course of mining. The mine operation will comply with MSHA rules and <br />regulations to keep respirable dust to a minimum. Sampling will be done <br />as outlined by MSHA. <br />Operation Description <br />A detailed narrative description of the land to be affected within the <br />permit area and the planned mining activities is provided under the <br />heading Production Methods and Equipment. The mining plan is <br />graphically portrayed on the Mine Plan Map (Map 11). The portal areas <br />and other surface support facilities to be utilized by the planned mine <br />operation are shown on the Mine Facilities Map (Map 12). <br />• As described earlier, Peerless Resources, Inc. will be utilizing a room <br />and pillar method of underground mining. The surface area necessary to <br />facilitate underground mining will be less than ten (10) acres. The <br />extent of underground workings will be on the order of approximately 30 <br />acres per year for 250,000 tons annual average production. <br />Mine Facilities <br />The underground mining operations to be conducted by Peerless Resources, <br />Inc. will include the following surface support structures: Office; <br />Shop; Coal Crushing, Handling and Loadout Facility; Transformer and <br />Utility Lines; Sedimentation Pond; Exhaust Fan; and Access Road. <br />Office and Shop. Peerless Resources, Inc. will maintain an office and <br />shop at the planned operation as shown on the Mine Facilities Map (Map <br />12). <br />The office for the Coal Gulch Mine will house mine operations personnel. <br />2.05-15 <br />
