Where adverse roof conditions are encountered, spot bolting will be used <br />to supplement the conventional roof control plan. In areas where spot <br />bolting is deemed necessary, either resin or conventional roof bolts <br />will be installed. Spot bolting will begin in competent roof and <br />continue until competent roof is encountered again. If necessary wire <br />mesh matting or rib bolts will be installed in main headings to maximize <br />the stability of these entries. <br />All conventional spot bolting materials will be chosen, installed and <br />positioned in accordance with 30 CFR 75.200-7, 75.200-8, and 75.200-10 <br />and approved by MSHA. <br />Transportation. Materials will enter the main portals and will be <br />transported to the working faces. The main access roadways will be well <br />maintained. <br />Coal will be transported via underground conveyor belts. The feeder <br />,, ~ breakers and crushers will break large blocks of coal into 8" or smaller <br />pieces for belt transportation. A section belt will transport crushed <br />coal from the feeder breaker onto the main underground belt conveyor. <br />The coal will then be transported directly to the outside of the <br />operation. <br />Electrical System. Power will be brought into the mine and fed into a <br />substation located on the Mine Facilities Map (Map 12). This substation <br />will provide power for both the surface support facilities and for the <br />electrical underground equipment. Amine feeder will be located near <br />the mine portal. Power will be provided from the station to the mine <br />feeder at high voltage. The mine feeder will deliver power underground <br />to transformers which will step down voltages for distribution to <br />equipment. Production unit equipment in the active section will be <br />powered from a power center. Equipment trailing cables will plug into <br />the power center. The power system will comply with all applicable <br />Colorado and MSHA rules and regulations. <br /> <br />2.05-10 <br />
