r <br />h <br />~~. <br />health department shall refund to the applicant the following percentage of the permit <br />fee: <br />1, Withdrawal prior to site inspection conducted : 80%. <br />2, Withdrawal after site inspection and before permit is issued: 40%. <br /> <br /> D. The county may make provision for the waiver of any permit fee normally required <br />~ for an individual sewage disposal system in case of voluntary upgrades or other <br /> circumstances deemed appropriate. <br />L E. A permit shall expire one (1) year after the date of issuance unless construction and <br />~+ final inspection is to be arranged within thirty (30) days following scheduled permit <br />L expiration. Any change in plans or specifications after the permit has been issued <br />~ invalidates the permit unless written approval is secured from the health officer or <br /> his/her authorized agent for such changes. A permit for an individual sewage disposal <br />i system shall be non-transferable. <br /> <br />i F. An unexpired permit may be renewed for a period not to exceed one (1) year in length <br /> providing the surrounding areas have not changed, and upon written application <br />~ received by the local heahh department prior to the expiration date. Renewal maybe <br />( granted only if the plans and specifcations of the system are in compliance with <br />` current ISDS regulations and conditions at the site aze the same as when originally <br />r, approved. A fee shall be paid to the local health department when an application for <br />' renewal is filed. (See Appendix A). A system which has not been installed after the <br />.~ one (1) year renewal will automatically expire. Anew application for the system and <br />F associated fee will be required. _ <br />G. The local health departmem may issue a repair permit and an emergency use permit <br />to the owner of property on which a system is not functioning properly. Application <br />for a repair permit shall be made by such owner to the local healh departmert within <br />r two (2) business days a13er receiving notice from the local health department that the <br />~ system is not functioning in compliance with these Regulations or otherwise <br />constitutes a nuisance or hazard to public health. The peratit shall provide for a <br />rv reasonable period of time within which repairs shall be made. At the end of that <br />I° period the system shall be inspected by the local health department to insure it is <br />functioning properly. Conarrrently with the issuance of a repair permit, the local <br />~ health department may issue an emergency use permit authorizing continued use of <br />a malfunctioning system on an emergency basis for a period not to exceed the period <br />I ' stated in the repair permit. The local heahh department may require the pumping of <br />~ septic tanks, treatmern units, or other components at a frequency necessary to preverrt <br />i ~ an unapproved effluent discharge from a malfunctioning system. Such an emergency <br />r use permit may be extended, for good cause shown, in the event repairs may nor be <br />completed in the period stated in the repay permit through no fault of the owner. <br />~-y <br />r Reparr permits may only be issued on systems in complete compliance with current <br />~ ISDS regulations except if necessary repairs are confined to wastewater and/or <br />distribution lines.
