i <br />EXHIBIT D <br />Reclamation Plan <br />Upon completion of the excavation, all disturbed areas <br />will be levelled and regraded to form a gradual elope that <br />blends in with the undisturbed adjacent ground. The stream <br />channel wiii be regraded. .No realignment will he done for <br />the stream channel. The characteristics of the exietlag <br />meander will be preserved. Although the channel wiii be <br />lowezed in this area, 1t does not appear to pose any Impacts <br />to the existing channel stability. <br />The Arikaree River is highly unstable. It has a large drain- <br />age basin and is prone. to flash flooding. The volume of <br />sediment transported during a major storm will probably fill <br />in the excavation. Headcutting is not expected to be a <br />problem due to lack of consistent flows. One large flood <br />could be sufficient to fill in the excavated site. <br />Stream bank stability will be accomplished by regrading <br />and sloping stream banks to no steeper than 4:1. <br />As needed, all packed areas wiii be ripped and disced <br />prior to revegetation. <br />There is no existing topsoil in the stream channel and/ <br />or along the stream banks. No reseeding will be done in <br />the stream channel. <br />Measures taken to revegetate the site will be in accordance <br />with reclamation plan recommended by Natural Resources <br />Conservation Service. Refer to attached N.R.C.S. sheet. <br />
