ADDENOIIM TO WATER RIf,HTS IDENTIFICATION AND ANALYSES <br />• <br />• <br />u <br />_ FOR AN AREA NORTH OF PAONIA, COLORADO <br />December, 1984 <br />In August, 1983, Hydro-Dynamics Inc, of Denver, Colorado, completed a study <br />,~ <br />on the water rights surrounding the Orchard Valley Mine. Subsequently, <br />Lease C-37210 was issued requiring such a study. In reviewing this informa- <br />tion, the Regulatory Agencies have asked for clarifications on various <br />statements, This addendum will address the specific comments submitted, <br />Several pages throughout the report refer to Plate I. This plate was sub- <br />mitted as part of the Hydro-Dynamics' report, CWI transferred this informa- <br />tion to Map 5-1 and Map 5-2 so all maps would have consistent scales, When- <br />ever referred to Plate I, instead refer to Map 5-1 or Map 5-2, <br />The report mentions the Grand Mesa Canal in Section II. Further information <br />on this canal follows. The fraud Mesa project would develop water of <br />streams tributary to the Gunnison River and its North Fork for irrigation, <br />municipal, domestic use, recreational development, and fish and wildlife <br />enhancement. Also, it would aid area redevelopment by providing job opp~r- <br />tunities. <br />Project storage would be provided at Electric Mountain Reservoir on 41est <br />Muddy Creek and the off stream Cactus Park Reservoir, Roth reservoirs would <br />receive water by feeder canals from nearby streams, f.actus Park Reservoir <br />also would receive releases from Electric Mountain Reservoir conveyed <br />between the two reservoirs by the Grand Mesa Canal, The Grand Mesa f.anal <br />
