•
u
In the event of the engineering evaluation we would hope that we have an opportunity to
have an independent person review it.
We have a big concern about the drain tiles being distwbed. What will happen to
the Bound and surface water that flows from the north? With all of the lakes being lined,
it looks Gke all the Bound and surface water will have only one course to the river and that
is through the residential azea in the middle of the proposed mining azea.
It also looks like the lakes are going to narrow the 100 yeaz flood plain. Without
the required Weld County Flood Hazard Permit, how can Camas assume that there will be
no flooding? Until this permit is obtained, we are not com+inced that there will not be
flooding. The stockpiling along the river has us concerned. We feel that these stockpiles
will cause an adverse effect during flooding and could change the course of the river.
Ow property is located next to Cell 2. We are very concerned with weed control
along ow property line. We have seen the Camas site that is located on "F" Street in
Greeley and the amount of weeds that aze Bowing there and we do not want to have to put
up with the weeds until Camas gets around to doing something with them.
With the number of residences in close proximity to this proposed operation, the
aggregate company need to be responsible when they are planning an operation that is this
close to established residences. We do not feel that Camas has completed the studies or
done the necessary reseazch to make this a compatible operation. We would hope that this
permit would not be issued.
Sincerely, ~~
~~~
~~Q.c.tl-tL6
ayne L. & Joyce A. Dawson
enc.
cc: Dale Owen, Colorado State Senator
