Exhibit B <br />STTE DESCRIPTION <br />The operator shall provide the following information: <br />(a) A description of the vegetation and soil characteristics in the area of the proposed <br />operation acquired from the FREMONT COUNTY MRCS. <br />There aze three soil types that are shown on the FremontCounty Soil Survey done by the <br />NRCS they are as numbered # 14, Bushvalley cobbly loam, 5 to 40 percent slopes. This shallow, <br />well-drained soil is on hills, mesas, and mountainsides. The native vegetation is mainly grasses and <br />shrubs. The characteristic vegetation is Arizona fescue at 25%,mountain mutely at 15%, Parry <br />oatgrass at 10%, Prairie junegrass at 10%, Needlegrass at 10%, Western wheatgrass at 10%, Blue <br />grams at 5%, Pine dropseed at 5%. Next is number 31 Ess very gravelly clay loam, 20 to 45 percent <br />slopes. This deep. Well drained soil is on mountainsides. The native vegetationis mainly grasses and <br />shrubs. The characteristic vegetation is Mountain mutely at 20%, Bottlebrush squiaeltail at 15%, <br />Nodding bromegrass at 10%, Needleandthread at 10%, True mountainmahogany at 10%, Scribner <br />Needlegrass at 10%, Blue grams at 5%. Gambel oak at 5%, Louisiana sagewort at 5%, Indian <br />ricegrass at 5%. Lastly soil type Ess-Bushvalley complex, 10 to 45 percent slopes. These soils are <br />on hills, mesas, fan terraces, and mountainsides. The native vegetation is mainly grasses. The <br />characteristic vegetation is Arizona fescue at 30%, Mountain mutely at 20%, Parry oatgrass at 15%, <br />Prairie junegrass at 10%, Blue grams at 5%, Needleandthread at 5%, and Fringed sagebrush at 5%. <br />Please see the enclosed the enclosed information from the Fremont County Soils Survey for more <br />detailed information. <br />(b) Identify each man-made structures within two hundred (200) feet of the affected <br />area and the owner of each structure. <br />The only man-made structures are within two hundred (200) feet of the affected area is <br />a ranch fence. This fence is owned by the applicant. No other manmade features aze within the Z00 <br />foot zone. Please see Exhibit A- Map. <br />(c) A description of the water resources in the area of the proposed operation. <br />The proposed operation is located on the side of a knoll owned by the <br />operator/applicant. The stormwater will be absorbed and guided by the gradually sloping of adjacent <br />land azound the pit floor, which will be left flat with a gravel plate to absorb water that falls in the <br />pit azea. Additionally a Stormwater Dischazge Permit will be acquired from the State of Colorado <br />Water Resources Division. The stormwater management plan (S WMP) will be designed to prevent <br />any drainage from the mining area from going directly into the historical drainage with-out being <br />retained and let out in a controlled manner that is consistent with good erosion prevention. <br />
