• Skelton, Inc.
MLRP Fermit Application
Hawks F'i t
Norwood, Colordo
EXHIBIT C
Mining Plan
1. Gravel has been mined from this location for some 4~i years.
The operation has the potential to continue for another 25
years.
2. The average depth of the topsoil is one foot. The topsoil
will be stockpiled away from the gravel operation on adjacent
property owned by Applicant. It will be stabilized with native
grasses until ready far reclamation use.
3. The overburden in this pit has an average depth of 18
inches. It will be stockpiled near the topsoil stockpile until
the pit is reclaimed, at which time it will be placed as the
first lift under the topsoil.
4. The deposit varies in thickness with an overall average of
thirty (30) feet.
5. The operation consists only of an access road and the pit
itself. Thy crusher• plant which we are using is portable, and
it is not on this location e;<cept when actually crushing. When
crushing in this pit, the crusher plant is moved from one
location to another for ma:<imum efficiency and minimal tramming
of material from the deposit to the plant. There are no
underground operations, offices, shops, etc., at this time.
6. The area to be mined is as described in the second
paragraph of EXHIBIT A, Legal Description. The total acreage is
less than ten (1~J) acres. The area to be mined will be mined to
the same depth as the neighboring pit which belongs to San
Miguel County to maintain an even levelling of the entire area.
'. There'are two access roads to the area, as delineated~on the
map. Both roads already e:<ist, and neither road needs to be
improved. No new roads will be built at this time.
8. At the present time, no water will be used in conjunction
with this mining operation.
9. There is no ground or surface water on or near the site.
10. Not applicable.
•
I
