Minor dredging/excavation projects <br />include, but are not limited to, the removal of material <br />deposited under and around existing bridges, culverts and other <br />road crossings; near existing intake, outPall and water measuring <br />structures; from water bodies such as lakes, ponds, and <br />impoundments meeting the definition of "waters of the IInited <br />States" including, but not limited to, fishing ponds and ponds <br />necessary to comply with Clean Water Act requirements; and <br />material which may pose a serious threat to public and private <br />improvements, and/or public safety. This permit also allows the <br />discharge of dredged material associated with excavating material <br />as a source oP fill for projects authorized by nationwide general <br />permit or regional general permit. <br />LOCATIOHt This Regional General Permit (RGP) is applicable <br />to "waters of the IInited States".in the State of Colorado, <br />excluding wetlands and other areas that may be identified in the <br />terms and conditions of this permit. <br />NOTIFICATi08 AND APPROVAL PROCEDIIR88s Anyone proposing to <br />perform work authorized by this permit must provide the following <br />information to the Corps of Engineers prior to commencing work in <br />waters of the IInited States: <br />i. Name, address and telephone number oP the applicant <br />responsible for the work and the owner of the affected <br />land, if other than the applicant; <br />2. A written description of the proposed work <br />including the purpose and need; composition and volume <br />of dredged or excavated material; length, width and <br />depth oP the excavation area; disposal site for the <br />material; types and numbers oP equipment to be used; a <br />wetlands delineation in accordance with the appropriate <br />methodology, iP necessary; direct and indirect adverse <br />• <br />
