Ryan <br />Land Use Administrator <br />Hinsdale County <br />Box 127 <br />Lake City, Colorado 81235 <br />Re: Rules and Regulations of Mined Land Reclamation Board, <br />State of Colorado, Rule 3.11 (4) <br />Ute P.1ine and Golden Blonder brine <br />Dear Mr. Ryan: <br />The above referenced rule requires a letter from the applicable <br />local government specifying conformance with existing zoning regula- <br />tions as part of an application for a mining permit from that board. <br />On behalf of Lake City Mines, Inc. I am preparing two applica- <br />tions for submission concerning proposed mining operations in Hins- <br />dale County. <br />1. Ute Mine at Henson in the NW1/4 Swl/4, Section 31, T44N, <br />R4W, The mine is existing and has been idle a few years. It is shown <br />on the Uncompahgre Peak USGS Quad at Henson, immediately east of the <br />Section line of Section 36. The plans also include use of the tail- <br />ings pond about 1/4 mile east of Henson. <br />2. Golden Wonder Mine, in section 11, T43N, R4W about 22 <br />miles SE of La};e City.
