State Req.
CRYOBOROLLS -UNIT f/99, 10-65% SLOPES. Approximately 4.8 acres of •
this moderately to very steeply sloping soil exists within the anticipated
mine disturbance area. Salvaged topsoil shall consist of 1.5 feet of "A"
horizon material and 1.8 feet of "B" horizon soil. Thus, this soil unit should
yield about 13.4 acre-feet of suitable topsoil from the mine site area.
SKYLICK CLAY LOAM -UNIT 4/66C, 5-10% SLOPES AND UNIT 1f66D, 10-
20% SLOPES. Topsoil salvage from these soil units shall consist of 2.7 and
0.7 feet of "A-AB" and "C" horizon material respectively. Approximately
65.9 acres of moderately sloping to moderately steep Skylick soils exist on
the anticipated mine disturbance area. These soil units should yield 212.4
acre-feet of high quality surface soil from the mine site (Table 9-I-I).
SKYLICK CLAY LOAM -UNIT f/66E, 20-40% SLOPES AND UNIT ff66F,
>40% SLOPES. The "A-AB" horizon to be salvaged is predominantly 2.2 feet
thick. Salvage of the lighter colored, more rocky "C" horizon is limited to
about 0.3 feet. There are approximately 113.0 acres of These steep to very •
steeply sloping Skylick soils on the proposed mine disturbance area. These
soil units should yield about 268.3 acre-feet of suitable topsoil from the
mine site (Table 9-I-I).
SPLITR0.WINEVADA LOAM -UNIT ftX8C, 5-10% SLOPES AND UNIT
ffX8D, f0-20% SLOPES. Approximately 2.0 feet of "A" horizon material is
to be salvaged from this soil type. Salvage of the dark colored organic rich
"A" horizon will continue down to the sandstone bedrock. Approximately
502.1 acres of moderately sloping to moderately steep Splitro-Winevada soils
exist on the anticipated mine disturbance area. These soil units should yield
903.8 acre-feet of high quality surface soil from the mine site (Table 9-1-I).
SPLITRO-WINEVADA LOAM -UNIT ffXBE, 20-40% SLOPES AND UNIT
f~XBF, >40% SLOPES. All "A" horizon soil will be salvaged down to
sandstone bedrock. This soil layer is predominantly 1.5 feet thick. There
are approximately 190.8 acres of these steep to very steeply sloping Splitro-
Winevado soils on the proposed mine disturbance area. These soil units •
should yield about 257.6 acre-feet of suitable surface soil from the mine site
(Table 9-I-I).
9-6
