There are two horizons within the Third Rim <br />The first lies approximately in the middle of the rim at a de th of <br />630-650 feet. The second is located near the base of the Thi d Rim <br />at a depth of 700-725 feet. <br />The thickness of the ore body averages apporximately 3.7 feet. <br />No overburden will be removed around the portal area as he adit <br />already exists. This adit intersects the Third Rim Sandstone which <br />is the ore-bearing host. <br />Immediately beneath the ore horizon are interbedded muds <br />silt units which ultimately (30-35 feet) grade into the Seco <br />Sandstone of the Salt Wash Member. <br />and <br />Rim <br />The applicability of a timetable to an underground opera ion is <br />questionable. During the early stages of operations, the aff cted <br />acreage will not appreciably increase after the initial distu bance <br />around the adit area. Small amounts of additional acreage wi I be <br />involved as the waste dump expands and the first ventilation orehol~ <br />is upreamed. <br />During the third year of operations, the affected acres <br />NW's of Section 20 will be utilized as a waste dump. A hoist <br />will be installed at the first ventilation borehole. The of <br />holes will be constructed within five (5) years.
