ROAD RECONSTRUCTION <br />MCC will reconstruct four previously used roads for use in the 2002 drilling. <br />These roads will be Long Draw Road, Upper Sylvester Road, RAV-8 Spur, and Deep <br />Creek Road. . <br />Road Name Len h <br />Long Draw 0.6 mi <br />Upper Sylvester 1.1 mi <br />RAV-8 Spur 0.4 mi <br />Upper Deep Creek 2.1 mi <br />Access to <br />Upper Sylvester Rd. <br />17-08 <br />17-04 <br />17-O1 <br />The approximate temporary road and drill pad locations are provided on the <br />attached Map 3. MCC will field locate the road alignments and pad locations prior to <br />construction for review and approval by the responsible USFS representative. <br />Reconstruction requirements for the routes vanes, dependent upon existing <br />conditions. Long Draw Road, Upper Sylvester Road, and RAV-8 Spw as prior drill <br />access roads, is currently maintained as an ATV trail. Returning the roadbed to service <br />will require removal of the existing tank traps, re-establishing road width, brush removal <br />as necessary, establishing ditches and drainage structures, and adding gravel as necessary. <br />Upper Deep Creek Road is currently 0.4 miles of existing classified road, 1.1 <br />miles of existing trail (prior drill access road), and 0.6 mile of historic road. <br />Reconstruction will include reestablishing ditches, and road width on the existing <br />classified road and historic road. The roadbed for the current trail will be rebuilt with the <br />removal of existing tank traps, re-establishing road width, brush removal as necessary, <br />establishing ditches and drainage structures, and adding gravel as necessary. Access to the <br />Upper Deep Creek Road is on the existing classified Dry Fork Road (USFS 711). The <br />Dry Fork Road has been without maintenance for several years and will require upgrading <br />with a road grader and re-establishing the drainage structures. <br />MCC requests the ability to use pickup trucks, ATVs, snowmobiles, snow cats, <br />for primary access to the project area. Heavy equipment including but not limited to <br />bulldozers, dump trucks, backhoes, track hoes, water trucks, maintainers, will be utilized <br />to construct and maintain the roads. <br />MCC will construct the temporary roads, culverts, rolling dips, gravel, UTC signs, <br />gates, and other mitigation measures as defined in the field with the responsible USFS <br />representative <br />10 <br />
