• Petroleum Contaminated Material Stockpiles. All petroleum contaminated materials treated to <br />reduce TPH concentrations below 500 mg/kg will ultimately be disposed of in the solid waste <br />disposal area. Following the final removal of petroleum cordaminated materials, the stockpile <br />footprint areas will be covered with a minimum of 4.3 inches of suitable topsoil and planted with <br />Seed Mix No. 1. It is anticipated that final reclamation of this area will occur in 2012, in conjunction <br />with final reclamation at the solid waste disposal area. <br />Sedimentation Ponds and Access Roads to These Ponds. Ponds 002, 003, and PECOCO reservoir have <br />been approved by CDMG as permanent impoundments. Pond 002 was approved as a permanent <br />impoundment in CDMG's Proposed Decision and Findings document dated December 31, 1988; PECOCO <br />was approved as a permanent impoundment in CDMG's Proposed Decision and Findings document dated <br />November 10, 1992; and, Pond 003 was approved as a permanent impoundment in CDMG's Proposed <br />Decision and Findings document dated June 6, 1997. <br />Append'a 7-8a presents the permanent pond demonstration for Pond 002, and the as-buiR is shown on <br />• Exhibit 7-8. Appendix 7-8b presents the permanent pond demonstration for Pond 003; the as-built is shown <br />on 6dribit 7-11. Appendix 7-6g presents the permanent pond demonstration for PECOCO; the as-built is <br />shown on Exhibit 7-18. <br />Senece Coal Company, the postmine landowner for a portion of Pond 002 and all of Pond 003, has <br />requested that these ponds be left as permanent postmine features. SCC's request is presented in <br />Appendix 13-11a, lando:~^rer Requests for Permanent Features. Request forms for the remaining portion of <br />Pond 002 and PECOCO have been submitted to the postmine landowners. Upon receipt by SCC, the <br />executed requests will be submitted to CDMG for insertion into Appendix 13-11a. <br />Based on requests received from postmine landowners, SCC also proposes to leave Ponds 004 and 008 as <br />permanent impoundments. Leaving these ponds as permanent features enhance the proposed post-mining <br />land use of livestock grazing and wildlife habitat. In accordance with Rule 4.09.13, SCC has designed and <br />constructed the ponds to approved CDMG criteria. Appendix 7-8c, Sediment Pontl No. 004, presents the <br />permanent pond demonstration for Pond 004. Appendix 7-8e, Sedimentation Structure 008, presents the <br />• permanent pond demonstration for Pond 008.
