EXHIBIT H - WILDLIFE INFORMATION
I contacted our officer from Phillips County, Jack Wieland and he referred me to
Mr. Shane Briggs from the Brush office. I contacted Mr. Shane Briggs by phone on
July 1, 1998 and the form he had concerning information relating to the mining and
reclamation impact only asked for the legal description and items not related to wildlife
resources. He stated he had not been assigned to this specific assignment to take
care of reporting on wildlife for mining permits very long and would check into it and
get back to me. To our knowledge there is no endangered species of wildlife in this
area.
The use for this ground is pasture land for cattle. Since the vegetation in the
creek bed is absent or very sparse, the loss of grazing land should be minimimal.
There is grass growing on the bank areas to be mined and this will reduce the amount
of grazing land available somewhat until vegetation from reclamation is established.
We don't see a loss of habitat or interference with migratory routes. The general effect
on wildlife from increased human activity or noise will be insignificant in our opinion.
EXHIBIT H WILDLIFE INFORMATION
26
