The species listed are not necessarily' ~~S'~YfR~tSP~'upon the <br />Bourg property for survival. <br />Big Game. Two of the 10 species which are designated as "Big <br />Game" in Colorado inhabit the area in and near the Bourg property, <br />the mule deer and antelope. The area provides marginal winter <br />habitat and fair to good summer browse. Cover is provided by big <br />sagebrush and water is provided by the stock-watering reservoirs <br />further down Mann Draw. Elk migrate through the property. <br />Fencing of the property was completed before mining but was <br />designed to exclude livestock but allow access to deer and antelope. <br />The fence is a 3 - strand wire fence with the lower wire being smooth <br />and the two upper wires being barbed. Strands are 16", 27" and 38" <br />above ground. Deer and antelope will have access to ponds on the <br />site. The water in these ponds is expected to be potable for wildlife <br />• purposes. <br />Other mammals. The following mammals may occur on or near the <br />site, but only in trace numbers. None are dependent on the area for <br />survival. <br />Amphibians and Reptiles. The amphibian and reptile species <br />occuring on or around the Bourg property include Side-blotched <br />Lizard, Sagebrush Lizard, Short-horned Lizard, Wandering Garter Snake, <br />and Rattlesnake. <br />Game Birds. Several species of upland game birds have been sighted <br />on and around the area.
