DEPARTM~ OF NATURAL RESOURCES • III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
D Manle Pascoe, Lxecutwe Dneclor 999
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
DAVID C. SHELTON Director
Pochartl D Lamm
Governor
February 4, 1983
Mr. Roy D. Blagg
Terra Construction Co.
P.O. Box 487
Arvada, Colorado 80001
RE: Miller Gravel Pit and Mine
File No. 82-112
Dear Mr. Stagg:

I have reviewed both the original application materials and your
additions to them. I now have several questions and comments about the
application as it now stands. My comments may seem somewhat extensive,
but, as I told you, the original application was very sketchy. Although
you have clarified some matters with your additions, major questions
remain.
This (natter is now scheduled for the February 23-24, 1983 meeting of the
Mined Land Reclamation Board. I hope that the application will be ready
for Board consideration at that time. To facilitate this, I suggest that
you attempt to reply to t1~is letter as soon as possible. I should
mention that I will be out of town from February 14-February 17, but I
will be available at other times before the scheduled Board meeting. If
we can solve the various problems with this application, it should be
able to be considered a°s a "no problem" matter (as a written presentation
to the Board), and you will not need to be present at the meeting.
I have organized my comrents on an exhibit-by-exhibit basis below. Any
exhibits or parts thereof not mentioned are considered adequate now.
efore our Board can consider the permit application, our Division must
receive the publisher's affidavit proving the 4 sequential of publication
and the green certified mail return receipts proviny notification of all
immediately adjacent landowners.
Application Item 13
Presumably, your total pennit area is now to be 83 acres (including areas
A, 8, and C).
